Most often, chicory is used fresh in salad dressing, or boiled with olive oil. However, there are many other salty and sweet dishes from chicory.
This year, on 17 June, on the Pine embankment in Tivat
, the cultural and gastronomic event "Dishes from chicory" will take place as part of the XIII International Chicory Festival.
The event will start at 7 pm with a mini-concert of the Tivat Musical Educational Society, and then twenty teams of more than 150 chefs will present the most famous dishes from chicory in the Kotor Bay. Tivat teams will be joined by lovers of delicacies from Herceg Novi, Podgorica, Risan and Polish town Skoczow.
The festival will be continued with the performance of the "Rišpet" group - one of Croatia's most famous choirs, on the stage of MCG "Jadran" sailing ship. Organizers of the festival are the organization of Tivat women, Tivat Radio and Tivat tourist organization.
