On 29 June,Petrovac, on the waterfront will host a gastronomic festival "Pasticada fest".
The name of the festival came from the Dalmatian "pasticada" dish.Pasticada
is a traditional meat dish in Dalmatia. The main ingredient is beef, which is marinated in red wine, garlic and various herbs, for example, with rosemary and sage.
During cooking, prunes, carrots, onions, cloves and nutmeg are added to the dish. The result is a dark thick aromatic sauce. Traditionally, pasticada is served with dumplings (gnocchi).The festival starts at 5:00 pm
with an entertainment program for children, then at 6:00 pm
pasticada tastings at local restaurants begins. At 7:30 pm,
the city orchestra will perform, and at 9:00 pm
the choir performances will begin: "Castel Nuovo" near the museum of Crvena commune, "Trio Guct" at the restaurant "Katic" and "Assa Voce" in front of the restaurant "Orada"
