In the heart of Montenegro, in the central area of the country, there is another small river and another spectacular canyon — a canyon of river Mrtvica.  Susica canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in the Balkans. It is located within the National Park «Durmitor», it's length is 14 km, the maximum height of the coast – 600 meters. Canyon is available for motorcyclists, cyclists and hikers.  The magnificence of the canyon can only be compared to the canyon of the river Tara. It begins on Durmitor, at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level and the height of the mouth to Tara is only 512 meters. Except for the first few miles, Susica flows under the ground. A long time ago, this river was overflowing, but a lot of years spring floods forced it to find a more suitable underground way to the river Tara.  The lowest point of canyon is in it's fourth kilometer. Susicko lake is situated on that place, which as well as the river, during the summer heat disappears and in its place grows herb that blows on the wind and changes it's color from bright green to dark emerald. Shores of canyon turn green in summer, thanks to lush vegetation consisting mainly of pine, spruce, beech and maple. Mačja pećina (Cat cave) is located near Podgorica in the canyon of the river Tsievna near the village Zatriepcha. The cave can be reached on foot just in hour and a half, if you walk along the canyon from the nearest village Zatriepcha. In the past, the cave was often used by local shepherds, as there was always quiet and calm inside to wait out the storm and bad weather. Djalovica cave is located 25km from Bijelo Pole and considered to be one of the most beautiful caves in Europe. The rout to the cave follows the town of Kolasin to the nearest town to the cave - Djalovica village.  Ivanovo Korito is a big valley 1200 m. long, located 12 km. from a former capital of Montenegro, Cetinje, in Lovcen National Park. It is named after its founder, Ivan Tsernovich. On the way from Przno to Sveti Stefan you can seea left exit off the road to a small monastery Praskvica. The name itself says that it is hidden from the "eye of God" and it is true. Nevidio has become the last conquered canyon in Europe, which was opened just in 1965 by the group of professional mountaineers from Niksic. Locals consider Komarnica river canyon, which originates in Durmotor mountain, a real wonder mystery of nature. Cave Novakovic is in Vraneshskoy valley at a distance of 28 km from Bijelo Polje near the village Muslichi at the source of the river Vranshtitsy. The entrance is at an altitude of 903 m above sea level, the total length of the cave corridors - 605 m, level difference - 50 m. Osoya cave located on the bank of Lim river near the village of Dobrakovo at a distance of 14 km from Bijelo Polje near the border of Serbia. The entrance ofnOsoya cave situated at an altitude of 870 m above sea level. The total length of its corridors is about 315 m and the depth difference - 83 m almost all branches of the cave is quite easy to pass, with the exception of a narrow passage of about 100 m in length. Just beyond the entrance is a large hall of Sasquatch (width - 55 m, height - 13 m) in its center stands a 6-meter-high figure of stalagmite, which, in fact, called Yeti. Then, deeper into the cave is Coral canal, and on each side of it there are passages lead to the other underground halls. One of these hall is called "milk and honey", its walls are covered with deposits of so-called 'cave milk ". Another hall is called Devilish, as its floor is covered with a layer of dirt and large build-ups, strongly impede the movement.

There is an amazing forest of black pines (Crna Poda) within the Tara river canyon. It is located between Bistrica and Dobrilovina, 950 meters above the sea. The cave Red Rock (wall) is located near village Petrovići, Nikšić town council, on the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina. The cave was opened in 1954 and since then it is considered the biggest cultural object of the Paleolithic over the whole Balkan peninsular with the exceptionally well preserved remnants of material culture. It presents a rock protecting apron at the height of 700m above the sea with a wide gateway 24m and a small depth 15m. Primitive men have been living in cave since Paleolithic and have been staying there for many centuries. About 20 people have been living in cave at the same time, who were hunting and fishing. The archeologists have opened 31 occupation layers, which prove the story of this place better than words. Stone items are considered the most precious findings, which count more than 250 thousand years. Other labor tools were made out of ceramics and animals and fish bones. The archeologists have managed to find here about 5 thousand material proves of the existence of primitive men. In 1500 B.C. this accommodation was abandoned and forgotten for long millenniums.
