In Herceg Novi and the nearby mountainous regions of Montenegro, more than 20 centimeters of snow fell.
Most of the snow fell in the areas of Vrban, Krushevichi, Sitnica and Ublim, and on the border with Serbia - at the border checkpoint Sitnitsa, the snow depth is more than 20 centimeters.
Despite the snowfall, the roads in the Herceg Novi region, as well as in the north-west of Montenegro, are quite passable, but drivers are still advised to drive carefully and be sure to use winter equipment on the Meline-Petievich road and when crossing the border at the Sitnica checkpoint. It is also worth noting that the roads in Montenegro are regularly cleaned from snow.
According to the forecasters of Montenegro, during the day the snow will stop falling in some areas, and in the evening wind and lowering of the air temperature are expected, and therefore icing of the roads is possible.
