After installing smart parking and benches, smart irrigation systems and air quality and noise monitoring systems, a public electric vehicle charger was installed in Montenegro, the technical solution of which was developed by the Montenegrin telecommunications company Telekom.
The first electric vehicle charger was installed in Sveti Stefan. The owner of this charging station for electric vehicles is Adriatic Properties, which also owns the elite hotel Aman Sveti Stefan.
The company Crnogorski Telekom announced that similar chargers for electric vehicles will also be installed in June in Zabljak, Plevlja, Cetinje and Tivat, and their idea is to create all conditions for the free movement of electric vehicles throughout Montenegro, not fearing that the car during the trip will remain without electricity.
The charger for electric vehicles is not only for hotel guests, but is available to all residents and guests of Montenegro. To charge the electric car, the owner must take the card necessary to activate the charger at the checkpoint, which is located at the entrance to the parking lot in front of the island of Sveti Stefan.
By installing charging stations for electric vehicles throughout the territory, Montenegro will simultaneously register in the regional interactive map for electric vehicles Puni.hr. Thanks to this, tourists from all over Europe will be able to travel in electric cars around Montenegro along the Mediterranean coast and they will have the opportunity to charge their car throughout the trip.
Electric cars are not the future, but the present, and adequate infrastructure requires adequate infrastructure. That is why Crnogorski Telekom, as a leader in the development of information and communication technologies (ICT) in Montenegro, is actively working to create intelligent solutions for the Montenegrin market, and also offers solutions for their implementation to the private and public sectors.
