Currently, 99 electric cars are registered in Montenegro, while public charging stations for electric vehicles are located only in two places - near the island hotel Sveti Stefan and on the territory of the elite area and the Porto Montenegro yacht port in Tivat.
“In our country ther are not only a lot of electric cars, but quite recently we received and installed chargers for these vehicles. Moreover, the use of these chargers is free now,” said the Ministry of the Interior of Montenegro. Moreover, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro reported that now in Montenegro, when registering vehicles with electric drive, no vehicle tax is levied on the use of passenger cars, which is paid annually by the owners of gasoline and diesel vehicles in accordance with the engine capacity.
