The surgeon from Bijelo Polje is sentenced to six months in prison

The surgeon from Bijelo Polje Eldin Lamazhevich has been sentenced to six months in prison for a criminal offense - causing harm to human health. The sentence was given by the judge Dragan Mrdakom. According to the portal "Dan", Lamezhevich had been already convicted earlier for 6 months in prison, but the Court of Appeal of Montenegro reversed the decision and remanded the case for retrial.
12/08/2013 in General Hospital in Bijelo Polje, a surgeon Lamezhavich obviously applied an inappropriate method of treatment and was negligent to the reception and treatment of the patient, now the late Mirsad Boshnyak, who got in hospital after falling from the balcony of his house. After visual inspection of the abdominal cavity, the doctor did not find any damage in this area, without paying due attention to the rupture of the spleen. Because of undetected trauma patient died on the same day.
