The municipality of Tivat has banned the use of bicycles and electric scooters on the city Pine embankment in the evenings, from 7 to 11 pm.
The Office of Public Utilities, Traffic and Energy Efficiency of the municipality of Tivat reported that in the city of Tivat on the Pine embankment, Marshal Tito street and the Iva Vizina embankment daily, from 7:00 to 11:00 pm it is forbidden to use bicycles, scooters and electric scooters.
“This measure is implemented due to the increase in the number of users of these vehicles on the embankment of the city of Tivat, which at the same time move at high speed and, thus, endanger the safety of pedestrians and, in particular, pose a danger to a huge number of children,” said in the Secretariat of the Tivat Municipality.
At the moment, the installation of a vertical traffic signaling is in progress, according to which the relevant competent authorities will act.
“We ask the owners of these vehicles to understand us, because our goal is primarily the safety of both children and pedestrians, and the users of these vehicles themselves,” said a representative of the municipality of Tivat.
