In less than one hour, seven people who decided to swim during the storm in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of the resort town of Bar were rescued by the Maritime Security Service and Montenegrin Border Police.
Two young people were rescued on a breakwater in the town of Bar on Sunday, at about 3:15 pm, and half an hour before that, four more teenagers were rescued, 17 and 18 years old from Podgorica and Kosovo, in Sutomore and one elderly person in Chanj.
Failure to comply with the warning, namely the red flags on the beaches, indicating a ban on swimming in the Bar Rivjera due to high waves, could be fatal for four young people who, fortunately, were rescued by the rapid intervention of the Maritime Security and Border Police officers Montenegro.
It is worth noting that the bright red flags located on the beaches indicate that the entrance to the sea is strictly forbidden because of the storm and high waves, and if it is necessary to save the sea, you need to call number 129 (toll-free).
