This week, three eco-friendly, interactive “smart” benches were installed on the embankment of the popular tourist resort of Budva.
Eco-shops are installed in the Old Town of Budva, on the Slovenian Embankment and in the Rafailovici area. A solar panel, free Wi-Fi, chargers for telephones, as well as sensors for air quality and humidity, air pressure, temperature and noise level are built into the bench.
“We are pleased that, thanks to this initiative, we helped the city of Budva get the technologies inherent in the most modern cities in the world. These solar-powered environmental benches help reduce environmental pollution and use green technology and renewable energy. I believe that for both citizens of Montenegro and tourists visiting Budva, these eco-benches will be interesting to use and useful in their daily lives and during their holidays,” said Magdalena Miljanich from the public organization Eco Center Budva.
