During the first eight months of this year, a total of 436,119 people visited National Parks of Montenegro, an increase of 104,000 or 31% over the same period last year, Montenegro National Parks reported.
“The interest of foreign visitors and local residents in the protected natural areas in our country is growing every year. The excellent results of this tourist season, shown so far, have made a significant contribution to the overall promotion of Montenegro, not only as a tourist destination, but also as a state that has inherited incredible natural values in the eco-system of national parks,” said the director of the state company managing these exceptional national resources, Elvir Klica.
In addition, he noted that this year in all five national parks of Montenegro, namely: Durmitor, Lovcen, Biogradska Gora, Prokletije and Skadar Lake, an increase in the number of visits was recorded.
