This year, in Podgorica, Bar, Budva, Tivat, Kotor, Herceg Novi and other cities of Montenegro, which are located both in the north of the country and on the coast, all kinds of New Year's events for adults and children in the open air will be held.
In addition, in the large cities of Montenegro, a multi-day entertainment program and concerts of famous artists and music groups from Montenegro, as well as from neighboring countries of the Balkan region, are organized.
According to the National Tourism Organization (NTO) of Montenegro, the organization and conduct of various events on New Year's Eve is why Montenegro has already been recognized as a leader in the Balkan region and, therefore, is an important segment of Montenegro's winter tourism offer.
“From year to year, the New Year program in Montenegro is becoming more saturated and diverse, in which the leading stars of domestic and foreign music scenes appear on city squares located both on the coast of the country and in the capital, Podgorica. We also host all kinds of entertainment events, such as Christmas markets and fairs, ice skating rinks, show programs and performances for the smallest that complement Montenegrin holiday offer,” Montenegrin NTO said.
In addition to the coastal cities and the capital of Montenegro, Montenegrin ski centers are a particularly attractive place to relax during the Christmas holidays and New Year Eve, which at this time also marks the beginning of the winter tourist season. The director of the management company “Ski resorts of Montenegro”, Milos Popović noted that 7 ski centers will be opened in Montenegro this season: Kolasin 1450, Kolasin 1600, Savin Kuk, Javorovača, Vučje, Lokve and Turjak.
