Last night, in the Njivica area, Herceg Novi municipality, the lighting of a new 1.2-kilometer stretch of coastal road was turned on after all installation work was completed last weekend.
Thanks to this project, the Nivice road section, which is used by a large number of tourists and citizens of Montenegro, was illuminated for the first time, and thus, public lighting is now connected from the Igalo district to the Nivice settlement. In addition, the implementation of these investments will significantly increase safety for all road users, given that this route is used by a large number of pedestrians who choose this part of the city to walk along the promenade and enjoy the beautiful view of the resort town of Herceg Novi.
Also, in the future, it is planned to implement the second phase of this project, within the framework of which public lighting should be installed on the site from the entrance to the village of Njivice to the border crossing point Confin.
The project was implemented thanks to the cooperation of the Herceg Novi municipality and the M-Tel company, which laid fiber-optic cable along the same route.
