At the moment, the final stage is the process of implementing the necessary amendments to the existing spatial city plan in Ulcinj, in part related to determining the connection of the Briska Gora solar power station to the power transmission network, and also in April it is planned to adopt a plan for its construction, which will create conditions for the start of the implementation of the contract.
“In the period from 2020 to 2024 EPCG, in collaboration with Finnish national energy company Fortum and the largest EPC solar contractor Sterling & Wilson, plans to build the Briska Gora solar power station in two phases. The solar power plant will have a total capacity of 250 megawatts (MW) and an expected annual output of 450 gigawatt hours (GWh). The total investment value exceeds 200 million euros. The procedure for adopting the necessary amendments in the Ulcinj PUP, in the part related to the determination of the connection of the power plant to the city power transmission network, is at the final stage and its adoption is planned for April this year. Thus, in the end, we can expect the start of this project in the summer, ”said the executive director of the Development and Engineering Department for the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro (EPCG), Ivan Mrvaljevic.
Ivan Mrvaljevic also noted that they, in partnership with the Austrian company Ivica, are continuing the construction of the Gvozd wind farm (wind generators for electric energy) in Ulcinj.
