Starting from today, Montenegro has allowed car traffic by personal transport, as well as public intercity transport (buses and taxis), but only within the borders of one region of the country, namely, coastal, central or northern.- The coastal region
is between the municipalities of Ulcinj, Bar, Budva, Kotor, Tivat Herceg Novi and Cetinje.- The central region
is Podgorica and the municipalities of Danilovgrad, Tuzi, Niksic, Shavnik, Pluzhine and also Cetinje.- The northern region
covers the municipalities of Plevlja, Zabljak, Bijelo-Pole, Berane, Mojkovac, Kolasin, Plav, Rozaje, Andrievica, Petnica and Gusinje.
It is also noted that passengers in buses cannot stand during the movement , but at the same time, they are allowed to sit next to each other. Only two passengers can ride in a taxi and only in the back seat. Wearing a protective mask is mandatory.
To date, local public transport operates only in those cities of Montenegro where there are no registered cases of coronavirus infection, while in municipalities affected by coronavirus, so far only taxi services can be used.
“This prohibition does not apply to vehicles of legal entities that transport employees, vehicles of media representatives and those used for emergency services (health, police, army, fire services, etc.),” the CNT explained.
