According to the statistics agency Monstat, in mid-2019, the population of Montenegro was 622 thousand people. The average life expectancy in Montenegro is 76.7 years, while the life expectancy for men is 74 years, and for women - 79.5 years.
Also, according to Monstat, last year in Montenegro, there were 135,533 children (under 17 years old), or 21.8% of the total population; residents of working age (up to 64 years) - 414 768 (66.7) and 95 643 residents aged 65 years and over (15.4). The share of migrants in Montenegro in 2019 was 10.5 people per 1000 inhabitants.
In addition, per 1000 citizens of Montenegro, on average, 5.7 marriages and 1.4 divorces per year.
