The results of the sea water quality analysis conducted by the Institute of marine biology on 110 Montenegrin beaches and swimming areas in the period from July 1 to 2, showed that 90% of the beaches have excellent sea water quality, namely, the water meets all sanitary standards and is safe for swimming and recreation.
According to the Institute of marine biology, which conducted the analysis of seawater on Montenegrin beaches, 6.4% of beach facilities had good quality water, and 3.6% of beaches had satisfactory quality.
These results once again confirm that the sea water on most beaches of Montenegro is of excellent quality, namely it meets all sanitary standards and is safe for swimming and recreation, was announced by the organization Morsko Dobro, which manages the sea coast of Montenegro.
In the municipality of Ulcinj, out of 18 bathing areas where water quality was analyzed, 17 showed excellent water quality, while in 1 bathing area the water was of satisfactory quality.
In the Bar, the water quality on all 15 tested beaches was excellent, while in the municipality of Budva, out of 32 tested places, 28 have excellent quality sea water and 4 have good quality.
In the Bay of Kotor, in the municipality of Tivat, in all 9 places for swimming, the sea water was of excellent quality, while in Kotor, out of 15 beaches tested, in 11 - the water was of excellent quality, in 3 places - of good quality and in 1 - of satisfactory quality.
In Herceg Novi, sea water was sampled on 21 beaches, of which 19 were of excellent quality and 2 were of satisfactory quality.
