The cost of a liter of 95 Eurosuper is 1.29 euros, It became 12 cents expensive, and diesel fuel costs increased to EUR 1.16 (the price increased on 16 cents).
The price of fuel has increased by 12 and 16 cents, due to scaled new excise tax.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the cost of 1 liter of Eurosuper 98 is 1.33 euros. Wholesale oil price is 1.14 euros, while heating oil is 86 cents per liter.
Parliament of the country adopted amendments to the Law on Excise Duty on 30 December, which provides for an increase in the excise tax for all fuels on 9 cents. Higher excise taxes are an economic measure to reduce the budget deficit and public debt.
In accordance with the Regulations on forming maximum retail prices for oil products, after calculation, to be held on 23 January, 2017, the new prices will take effect from 24 January, 2017.
