Political party "Demokratski Front" organizes the celebration of the Old New Year on Independence Square (Trg Nezavisnosti) in Podgorica
Celebration of Old New Year will be held at the Independence Square in Podgorica on 13 January. Also holding of the holiday devoted to the protest of Montenegro's membership in NATO. There will be a concert on the square, where the brass band of Dejan Evdicha and pop stars Marina Visković and Marko Bulat will perform.
The concert will be completed at midnight by fireworks, then the priests and the representatives of the party will invite citizens to the temple of the Resurrection, where Metropolitan Amfilohije will run a prayer service.
Orthodox New Year is celebrated in Podgorica since 1998. The church community has always been the organizer of the celebration, as well as the Socialist People's Party and the Serb People's Party. The biggest celebration was held in 2001.
