Service for the Protection of National Parks Biogradska Gora, Durmitor, Lovcen Prokletije during the winter months regularly feed wild animals.
In the cold days, when the height of the snow cover exceeded the norms and search of food is significantly impeded, security officers of control of national parks go on snowshoes more than 10 km, delivering food.
In certain places the employees bring bales of hay and a small amount of salt to provide nutrition of wild animals during the winter.
Feeding of wild animals is a planned program of control of national parks of Montenegro for the implementation of protection measures, particularly in the winter.
