In Montenegro there are 54 millionaire, the richest of which has a savings deposit of 14 million euros. At the end of last year, 54 citizens of the country had deposits in the amount of over one million euros. Names of holders of savings deposits were not disclosed, because it is not permitted by law.
The number of millionaires varies from year to year. Recall that during the second half of 2015 there were 53. The largest deposit, which has an individual a year ago amounted to 4.13 million, while 140 companies had deposits with the amount of over one million euros.
To date, Montenegro has no billionaires.
Countries in the region can also boast a large number of millionaires. Croatia, for example, according to data released at the end of last year in the local media,is home to 22,000 millionaires, and their savings accounts in banks amounted to HRK 56.3 billion, or 7.35 billion euros. In Serbia, there are about 18 000 millionaires, in BiH - about 600 people have savings exceeding one million convertible marks. As Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have their own currency, the number of millionaires who have savings in euros is not accurate.
