According to information received from the director of the National Tourist Organization (NTO), Zelki Radak Kukavich, the interest of Russian tourists to Montenegro has doubled compared to the previous year, more than 50% of tours have already been sold.
According to her, guests from Russia return to Montenegro from year to year. In addition, a positive effect on the flow of tourists is expected from the tourism exhibitions held in Moscow and St. Petersburg, despite the negative media campaigns in the Russian media.
Speaking about the membership of Montenegro in NATO, Zelka noted that the introduction would have a positive impact on the development of tourism, as the safety of tourist destinations is the main decisive factor for tourists in choosing a holiday spot.
Since the end of March, Montenegro has been visited by the first groups of tourists from Western and Central Europe, which indicates the successful start of the season compared to last year.
