100 new parking spaces for bicycles opened in Niksic

In Nikshich today four parking lots for 28 bike places were opened for the project "Velonik", implemented by the non-governmental organization Biciklo.me with the financial support of the brewery "Trebjesa".
The first parking is located in front of the building of the Faculty of Philosophy, near the clinic, the Tehnopolis store and the main hospital. Another eight parking lots will be created in the coming days, and the total number of parking spaces for bicycles in Nikshich within the project will be 100.
The established parking for bicycles is the first step to the promotion of cycling, which is supported by the Trebjesa brewery, which provided financial support to the Velonik project, which became the best environmental project at the annual competition. "We are promoting cycling in the first place in terms of ecology and healthy lifestyles." In the coming days, new parking spaces will be opened in Niksic and we hope that we can draw more public attention to the use of bicycles as vehicles ", commented Natalia Milich, manager of corporate questions of the brewery "Trebjesa".
From NGO Biciklo.me reported that before the end of June a large bike ride "Critical Mass" under Trebjes would be organized. "We hope that this trend of development of cycling will be supported by residents of Niksic," said the executive director of company.
