Good news for the Montenegrin agriculture in the city of Plevlja - the cheese from Plevlja has received a sign of quality protection. In Montenegro, a second protected product appeared. Six months ago, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced the first protected product in Montenegro.
In connection with this, Minister of Agriculture Milutin Simovic met with members of the Plevlja Cheese Association and congratulated them on this significant achievement.
"The distinguishing characteristics of the cheese from Plevlja is its quality, specificity and originality of taste and safety of the product, I am sure that the protection mark of the cheese from Plevlja will ensure a stable market value of the product and benefit all its producers," the minister said.
Also in Plevlja the minister held a meeting with representatives of the Livestock Union of the North of the country. The main topics of the meeting were opportunities to improve the conditions for livestock development and ensure greater competitiveness in this sector.
