On 7-8 June, the Institute of Marine Biology conducted an analysis of the quality of sea water from 100 places for bathing. Management of the coastal zone provided the following results: 96% - the quality of sea water was excellent K1 class, while 4% - K2 class.
Thus, the results confirm that seawater in Montenegrin resorts is of excellent quality, meets all sanitary standards and is safe for bathing and rest.
On all 16 beaches in Ulcinj, on 13 beaches in Bar, the quality of sea water was class K1. In Budva, out of 25 places in 23 the quality of water was class K1, and for 2 classes K2.
Quality of sea water K1 was on all 10 beaches in Tivat and 15 beaches in Kotor, in Herceg Novi, the analysis showed that the quality of water K1 was on 19 beaches, while on 2 beaches the quality of water was of class K2.
For convenience in presenting data on the quality of seawater to residents and tourists, the Coastal Zone Management in 2015 developed a system of application software for data processing and reporting that is accessible via the Internet.
The application is available on the website of the Coastal Zone Management www.morskodobro.com in Montenegrin and English.
