The Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) in the first half of the year processed about 1.79 thousand counterfeit denominations, of which the majority are coins worth two euros. The number of counterfeit euros in the first half of the year, compared with the same period last year, has increased.
From the CBCG Bank reported that this year most often forged banknotes worth 20 and 100 euros, of which in Montenegro, most of the notes were of 20 euros denominations.
The greatest number of counterfeit euro banknotes was found this year in the central part of Montenegro - 66.42%, in the southern region - 27.31% and in the northern part - 6.27%.
