The Seventh International Scientific Meeting "Days of Njegos" will be held from 30 August to 3 September in Kotor, with the support of the municipality of Kotor.
Vice-president of the municipality of Kotor Liliana Popovich Moshkov commented that this year in Kotor there would be a lot of people engaged in Slavic studies at the "Days of Njegos".
The president of the organizing committee Raiko Glushica also noted that this scientific meeting was the most important scientific and cultural event dedicated to the works of Njegos, since Slavs from Europe and all world gather to visit it.
The result of scientific, international, Slavic conferences are more than 200 scientific works, which is more than three thousand pages of the published text. The days of Njegos are the foundation of the Montenegrin science of Montenegrin language, culture and literature. The days of Njegos began to be held from 2008, at the same time, when a curriculum for the Montenegrin and South Slavic literature was created at the Faculty of Philosophy, and now at the Faculty of Philology in Niksic.
This year 47 Slavists from 15 countries of Europe and the world, from 27 different institutions of science and culture will take part in the event. 45 works on literature and culture will be presented.
At the meeting of the participants, not only a scientific but also a rich cultural and artistic program awaits, in which famous artists from both the country and abroad participate. This year is the year of Njegos - 170 years since the publication of the "Mountain Chapel", so most of the program will be devoted to this work and its texts.
