Opening of the swimming pool in Podgorica

The water polo swimming pool as a part of the sports complex "Morača" will be put into operation again on the Day of Podgorica - on 19 December. At present, the works are at the final stage, the roof construction is being assembled. Over the past three years, 22 million euros have been invested into the project.
After the implementation of this project Podgorica, finally, will receive a worthy object for the development of sport swimming.
In the new swimming-pool , all conditions are created for the formation of the Podgorica water polo club, which will promote this sport in European and world competitions.
According to the Mayor of Podgorica, a significant part of the funds was allocated from the capital budget.
In addition, the local administration invested in recreational facilities, built ten sports grounds and carried out 88 repair works. In some districts of the city, because of vandalism, they had to do the work again.
