Investigators of the criminal police department arrested a resident of Danilovgrad - Mitar Markovic (30) because of a suspicion that he took money and valuables from tourists and residents of Budva, pretending to be a policeman.

Markovic was arrested yesterday and detained for 72 hours on the instructions of the chief prosecutor of the city of Kotor.

Markovic came to Budva a few days ago, and presumably his first victim on 16 September was a Norwegian tourist who had a mobile phone and money.
Three days later, a resident of Cetinje called to the police station and reported that at five o'clock on the embankment he was stopped by a man and fraudulently received money from him.

During the perquisition, a mobile phone and part of the money that was returned to the victims were found at Markovic.

Markovich was charged with committing a criminal offense - theft.
