According to Marco Rakocevic, the secretary of the municipal service and traffic, there is a sufficient number of taxi drivers in Podgorica.
"There are certain problems caused by the fact that the competent authorities recently strengthened control over vehicles, labor issues and settlement of tax obligations, but this cannot be considered as a problem, on the contrary it is the success of local self-government services," Rakocevich said.
In the capital, there are currently 840 legal taxi companies. Since the beginning of the year, with the aim of identifying legal and illegal taxi companies, the Secretariat has introduced a "vignette", which must be sticked to the windshield and mandatory availability of Taxi checker.
