Over the past ten years, about 9 million euros from European funds have been invested in various projects in Niksic.
This week the EU delegation arrived in Montenegro and had a working visit in Niksic, in which, according to their assessment, several successful infrastructure projects were implemented with the help of European financial support. According to the head of the European Union (EU) delegation to Montenegro, Aivo Orav, Montenegro's fairly good cooperation with various European investors must be continued. He also noted that one of the most successful projects in Niksic, supported by the EU, is wastewater treatment, since the issue of the environment is very important for all residents and visitors of Montenegro.
The chairman of the municipality of Niksic, Veselin Grbović, noted that the meeting also discussed the process of Montenegro's accession to the European Union, as well as the participation of the city in this process. "Niksic is a European city and many of its inhabitants are eager to enter the EU, of which the state of Montenegro can become a member in the near future," said V. Grbovic.
