The Government of Montenegro has set quotas for foreign workers

The Government of Montenegro has set an annual quota, which in 2018 will amount to 18,185 permits for temporary residence and work of foreign guests.
Out of the total number of permits, 5,000 will be allocated to the work of foreigners in the reserves and National Parks of Montenegro, which the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare can additionally organize for specific purposes in accordance with the needs of the labor market, and also at the request of the employment service of Montenegro. Of the remaining 13,185 permits, 8310 will be given to licensed workers, 3547 will be allocated for seasonal work in Montenegro and 1,328 licenses will be given to foreigners for the provision of their services.
The Government of Montenegro approved this quota based on an analysis of the situation and all developments in the domestic labor market in the first nine months of this year, during which 76% of the total number of permits were used, and also in accordance with the requirements of the Montenegrin business community and its hiring requirements foreign labor.
