On the occasion of the upcoming celebration of the Catholic Christmas in Montenegro, for all employees of the Roman Catholic Church the official non-working days are December 24, 25 and 26, 2017, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Montenegro reported.
"On the basis of the Law on Observance of All Religious Feasts (Sl. List RCG No. 56/93), all Catholic believers who live in Montenegro are entitled to get paid holidays on religious holidays in 2017: Christmas Eve and Christmas (two days) as follows : Sunday, December 24, 25 - Monday and Tuesday, December 26, "the statement said.
During the holidays, they will work on a voluntary basis and carry out various activities for the public interest. "State bodies, local self-government bodies, state institutions, state enterprises and other organizations that engage in any activity in the public interest are obliged to provide their employees with Catholicism for the weekend. Failure to comply with this law can lead to serious and harmful consequences for citizens and of the entire state, "the Ministry of Labor of Montenegro reported.
