Herceg Novi ready to claim the title of European Capital of Culture 2021

Darko briec (Darko Brlek), president of the European Festivals Association, said that the city has a chance to win the title of European Capital of Culture in 2021. Briec is also the artistic director of the project Herceg Novi candidacy for the title European Capital of Culture 2021. According to him, to success will contribute the government's support, the work of experts, but mostly participation of townspeople who "will have to change some bad habits", invite leading artists from around the world to build infrastructure and attract funding (including external sources). In bringing Herceg Novi closer to the status of Cultural Capital the whole country will take part, and if it succeeds, the title for the first time will receive a city outside the European Union.
