Today,
the Council for Privatization and Capital Repairs of Montenegrin facilities has submitted an annual Progress Report, realized investments and other activities in accordance with the Agreement on the long-term lease of the island of Lastavica with the
fortress of Mamula.
As it was announced after the meeting of the Council, the Report says that on June 28 the tenant paid a fixed fee for the first year of renting the island of Lastavica in the amount of 47,772 euros, and, according to information received from investors,
for the implementation of the reconstruction project of the fortress-island Mamula already spent 543 thousand euros.
"Taking into account the fact that the reconstruction of the island is still at the planning stage, it is necessary now to purchase equipment, conduct preparatory work, pay salaries to employees, and attract domestic and foreign consultants to implement this project," the statement said.
Also at the meeting of the Council,
the report on the realized investments was discussed in accordance with the Decision on granting long-term lease of land on the peninsula of Lustica, for the period from December 1, 2016 to December 15, 2017, which was presented by the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism jointly with the Secretariat for Project Development.
