Yesterday,
in the Montenegrin city of Bijelo Polje, the "New Year Bazaar" was opened, at which local farmers presented more than 500 different goods produced according to the traditional recipe from natural products characteristic of the northern regions of Montenegro.
More than 60 stands presented products of the northern region of Montenegro, produced from milk, among which were various cheeses, kaimak (a national product), cream and all sorts of drinks from milk. This year, not many different kinds of honey, fruit syrups, various types of jam, cakes, as well as wool, wood and plastic products were brought to the New Year Fair by local producers.
A variety of music, all kinds of natural products, wine and homemade rakija (note national alcoholic drink) every year, not even paying attention to cold weather, attract a large number of people to the New Year Bazaar, which is held in the central square of the city of
Bijelo Polje.

The New Year Bazaar is held in Bijel Pole from 2013 and was originally conceived as a kind of idea about the culture and national traditions of the northern region of Montenegro through natural products, goods and unique handicraft products .With the aim of supplementing winter tourist offers, since last year we have organized the Bazaar as time before the New Year and Christmas, giving people an excellent opportunity to buy tasty and healthy food for the holidays, "said the deputy chairman of the Municipality of Bijelo Pole, Nemscha Omerchodzic. She also expressed satisfaction that the number of participants at the New Year Fair is increasing from year to year.
The New Year Bazaar in Bijelo Pole is accompanied by a rich cultural and entertainment program, in which Bijelo Polje music groups, Dragoljub Djuricic, as well as schoolchildren and pupils of kindergartens will take part.
