The German airline Lufthansa is interested in starting its own regular flights from Frankfurt and Munich to Tivat in the near future, while the national air carrier of Austria, Austrian Airlines, which it controls, will have to open an airline from Vienna to Tivat. It's worth noting that Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines will fly the rought Germany-Montenegro and Austria-Montenegro all year long.
Negotiations on cooperation in the field of passenger air travel from Europe to Montenegro involved representatives of the airport Tivat (Montenegro) and the management company Lufthansa Group - Europe's largest airline. Last Sunday, Bernhard Wald, Lufthansa regional manager for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, met with the executive director of Tivat airport, Danil Orlandic, and discussed the possibilities for improving and expanding their cooperation, as well as attracting a German state airline to Montenegrin market of passenger air transportation.
