Due to the constant torrential rains that have been going on in recent days in Montenegro, the representatives of the Operational Staff of the Security and Rescue Service visited
the village of Zabljak Crnojevica and the surrounding areas, which were most affected by the flood caused by the rising water level in Skadar Lake.
Judging by the photos published by the local news company Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG), the water has already penetrated into houses and auxiliary farm buildings in Zabljak Crnojevica and nearby settlements, and
the only means of transportation in this area is the boat.
The representative of the operational headquarters, Luban Tmusic, reported that at the moment the families living in the flooded area are not threatened and that the authorities continue to monitor the situation on the ground.
Recall that this morning the director of the Hydrometeorological Institute of Montenegro, Luka Mitrovic, said for the civil service that, according to the latest data, the situation on the Boyana River and Skadar Lake has not changed and the water level remains the same, although there were no precipitation in these areas at night. He also noted that, despite the rising water level in the Boyana River and Skadar Lake, t
here is no threat of major floods in the coastal zone of Montenegro.
It should be noted that the Hydrometeorological Service of Montenegro warns residents and guests of the country
that next week in Montenegro an increase in air temperature and a new wave of precipitation is expected.
