Since the beginning of the year, and especially on the May holidays, the city of Zhabljak and the National Park Durmitor were visited by a large number of residents and visitors of Montenegro.
In addition to foreign tourists who opened the season of 2018 already in early April, now there is a noticeable increase in domestic visitors. While tourists mostly live in hotels and private homes, most of the locals rest in their own country houses, with relatives or with friends.
It should be noted that yesterday and today the entrance to the Durmitor National Park is free for all visitors.
As a rule, the Black Lake, located in the Durmitor National Park near the town of Zabljak, is a must for most tourists. Already, Zabljak and its attractions were visited by significantly more people than in the same period of time last year, said the park's employee, Radan Raichevich. "Thanks to the very good and sunny weather, the tourist season started much earlier this year, and in clear weather our checkpoint sells up to 400 entrance tickets," Raicevic said. This year, the prices for tickets to the Durmitor National Park remained unchanged:
3 euros per day, 6 euros for three days and 12 euros for seven days. In honor of the state holiday, Independence Day of Montenegro, yesterday and today the entrance to NP Durmitor is free for all visitors.
