As in the past year, the quality of sea water will be constantly monitored on 100 different beaches and bathing areas along the entire coast of Montenegro. This monitoring will last until the end of September or until the end of the swimming season, depending on the weather, the representatives of the Maritime Administration and the coastal zone of Montenegro told Radio Yadran.

This means that the seawater quality control will take place in the selected bathing areas distributed along the coastal areas: 21 in the municipality of Herceg Novi, 16 in the municipality of Ulcinj, 13 in the municipality of Bar, 25 in Budva, 10 in Tivat and 15 places in Kotor.

Sampling and monitoring of water quality in the Adriatic Sea and Boka Kotorska Bay, as in previous years, will be carried out by the Institute of Marine Biology, which the management company Morsko dobro has chosen with the help of a tender.

Sampling will be conducted every 15 days. Classification of sea water used for bathing and resting, is divided into two classes as follows: class K1 - excellent and class K2 - satisfactory.
