The wooden "Gondola of Love", built by the 83-year-old retired sea captain, Mihail Ognjenović, who for many years sailed along the Bay of Kotor and reunited married couples,
was again officially ceremonially launched in the area of the coastal settlement Risan.
The right of the first trip on this boat was given to a couple from the city of Novi Sad - Vesna Stankovich and Slobodan Stanar.

Ognjenovich, thus wants, in addition to preserving the ancient Bokelian tradition of swimming along the bay on wooden boats, also attract attention and emphasize the importance of the Institute of marriage.
64 years ago M.Ognenevich bought this gondola from the carpenter of Jova Popovića from Risan, and a few years ago it was completely reconstructed by the ship builder Bogdo Bilafer, a boatman from Strpa.
From 1954 to 2006, the gondola of Love united 24 couples from all the republics of the former Yugoslavia. This year he continued his mission and wants this event to become a kind of Montenegrin tradition for couples from all over the world.
