After the summer cinema festival, which took place on the territory of the ancient fortress Fort Mare in Herceg Novi, work began on the dismantling of the canvas, the projector and other elements of the open-air cinema, as well as cleaning the fortress and the surrounding area, from the municipality of Herceg Novi.
In addition, from the walls of the fortress, greenery and various plants were removed, which have significantly expanded this summer. In addition, as noted in the municipality of Herceg Novi, some trees and various plants will remain in the most popular places among tourists, so that in the hot season they can come here and relax under the shade of trees.
"The cleaning of Forte Mare Fortress walls was carried out by professional climbers who first worked on removing pollen from plants, and then cleaned and removed greens from the fort walls. In the near future Forte Mare fortress will be illuminated all around the perimeter, and the municipality of Herceg Novi will stop issuing permits for cafes, restaurants and other places of public catering, which will be located in the immediate vicinity of the fortress, "the municipality said.
Recall that Fort Fort Mare was built in the period between the 14th and 17th centuries. In 1833, during the reign of the Ottoman Empire, the fortress was reconstructed and acquired its final look, which has survived to this day. In 1952, on the territory of the fortress, a summer cinema was created, and later a nightclub, which was first located in the open space, and then was moved to the interior of the fortress.
