The weekly edition of the prestigious London magazine The Times published an article about the journey entitled “Luxury Travel - Montenegro, a new place for luxury holidays for wealthy tourists”. According to the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, the author of the publication is journalist and publicist Anabela Thorpe, who writes similar texts for the Times magazine and other magazines related to recreation and tourism.
“Modern seaports and beautiful hotels turn a small Balkan country into the newest place for luxury holidays,” the journalist wrote in her article in The Times magazine, where she very well described the coast of Montenegro, the Bay of Kotor and the old cities of Kotor and Budva.
In her article, Anabela Thorp analyzes the changes that have recently taken place in the tourist offer of Montenegro, talking about the construction of new luxury hotels and entire elite residential areas: Porto Montenegro, Sveti Stefan, Porto Novi, Lustica Bay and concludes that the government’s strategy Montenegro is to develop exactly luxury destinations in the country, building five-star hotels and seaports for luxury yachts.
In addition to the majority of well-known hotel companies and hotel corporations Chedi, One & Only and others, in recent years, many investors are looking for an opportunity to engage in the hotel business in Montenegro.
The author also notes the contrast between the new, sparkling, luxury hotels and marinas (the port for yachts) and the slightly dirty, dilapidated residential buildings and buildings of the city of Tivat, as well as the appearance of shops and restaurants along local roads.
“New projects, without a doubt, bring good results for Montenegro, namely, employment opportunities, infrastructure improvements and a growing economy,” concludes Anabel Thorp.
