The south wind and torrential rains observed these days in the area of Bay of Kotor caused a tidal wave that flooded the main road in the city of Kotor and entered the main city gates in the Old City of Kotor, reports Scala radio.
At the moment, due to flooding, the Old Town of Kotor can only be reached by metal pontoons.
According to Scala Radio, the water flooded the main and only road to exit and enter the city, as a result of which, at the moment, traffic on some sections of the road is difficult.
It is also worth noting that due to heavy rainfall there was an increase in the water level to sources that were washed out, and now it is not recommended to use water without prior purification / filtration. From the city water supply they remind that water is chlorinated regularly, which ensures the microbial safety of water.
