The cold has already come in Montenegro and in the coming days, mainly in the northern regions of the country, very low air temperatures are expected with snow.
According to a meteorologist from the Hydrometeorological Institute of Montenegro, Branko Mechev, there is a possibility of snowstorms in the mountainous regions of Montenegro, and it will be very cold in the north of the country, especially at night, when the air temperature reaches below values. On Friday morning, residents and guests of the northern cities of Montenegro face particularly low air temperatures, which in some northern areas can reach up to -15 degrees Celsius.
According to B. Michev, the cold weather that is observed in Montenegro these days is not extreme. “The cold air flows came to us from the north and north-east of Europe, swept the Balkans and touched the peripheral region of Montenegro. This is the usual weather for this time of year in Montenegro, since we already had 30 centimeters of snow near the zabljak ski resort,” Branko Mechev said.
