On Monday, December 24, a new terminal for departing passengers with an area of 1,300 square meters will be officially opened at the Tivat airport. Most likely, this terminal will be officially opened and commissioned by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dusko Markovic, which was unofficially reported by Aerodromi Crne Gore.
The new terminal of Tivat airport, intended for departing passengers, was built by Fidija from Podgorica in less than three months. The terminal is designed for passengers departing from Montenegro, has six counters for passenger check-in and baggage check-in, service and technical facilities, toilets, and also separate rooms for airline representatives. The terminal also has offices for representatives of the police department and the customs administration.
The cost of the new facility with all the equipment is about 2.2 million euros, which were allocated from the own funds of the company Montenegro Airports. It was built on a free site on the northwest side of the current terminal building of Tivat Airport.
It is planned that this winter a new terminal will operate at the Tivat airport, and the old terminal building will be closed for partial reconstruction and modernization on the eve of the upcoming summer season.
