Lake Biograd is the biggest glacial lake with transparent blue water, rich with fish, surrounded by dense forests and filled with fresh air.
It is located in the intermontane crater of Bjelasica Mountain, 6km from Majkovats, on the territory of of Biogradska Gora national park. It takes an area of 228,500 m² of the National park, its length is 870m, width is 260 and maximum depth is 12,1m. It is filled by Biograd river and Bendovats stream. Its outflow is Jezerstica.
In Autumn, trout come in shallow water for spawning. Therefore those who love fishing will definitely love this place. Also you can see numerous wild animals and birds among local pine, fir, maple, oak, beech and ash. Here you can always find a place to stop overnight. There are many activities for your holiday: restaurants, boat renting, hiking routs with benches for your rest etc. For active leisure time you can practice kayaking. Artistic and romantic natures can just enjoy and inspire local beauty.
