Have you ever heard about floating lake? Montenegro has one. Despite of its small size 73mx 92m, and maximum depth 4m, it is really unique. According to the legend, farmers constructed lake out of felled timber to kraal cattle for the night and protect them from wolves. In the course of the year, the lake is moving and changes its shape together with water level. In winter, it often freezes and in summer you can swim. The water warms up 16-18˚C. People living in the close village Brezovitsa enjoy swimming in this lake with great pleasure.
The territory around lake is quite beautiful. It is surrounded by dense forest with 20 meters pines, firs and spruces; thanks to this lake has a saturated dark-green color. Lake is located 1735m above the sea in Prokletije National Park, in the northen part of Plav town council. The famous Plav Lake is approximately in two kilometers from Visitor Lake.
