The Museum of Budva in the Old Town is housed in a building from the beginning of the 19th century. It is constantly supplied with archaeological and ethnographic collections, and on the ground floor of the museum there is a lapidarium with valuable examples of stone sculpture.
The archaeological collection is made up of items found during archaeological excavations in Budva (Hellenistic gold, various vases, costume jewelry, ornaments, tools, cutlery, glass objects, clay, silverware ...), originating from the 5th century BC to the Middle Ages and unite in this area the culture of the Illyrians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Slavs.
Especially valuable are the gold earrings and brooch, which depicts an eagle holding a boy in claws, connected with the myth of Zeus and Ganymede. The ethnographic collection contains items from this place until the 20th century. In the archaeological collection, more than 1,200 items, and in the ethnographic collection - 450 items.

Monday - Sunday: 8: 00-21: 00 (from June 1 to September 30);
Tuesday - Sunday: 9: 00-20: 00, Monday: closed (from October 1 to May 31).
