Blue Palace in Cetinje
The Blue Palace is located at the center of Cetinje between two main parks. The palace was built in 1895, its architectural style is the Late Empire. The best Italian and Montenegrin masters were hired to complete the palace. Later the building was surrounded by a high fence consisted of metal bars, the yard was equipped with tennis court and swimming pool. Electric lighting has been switched in 1910.
The heir to the throne, Duke Danilo has been living in the palace till 1916. In XX century the Blue Palace was used as a gallery for different exhibitions and biennale. It has been a residence of Montenegrin President since 2010.
